Step 1 - Boost Your Traffic

It’s pretty simple math... the more people who see your landing pages and sales page, the more people you can convert into subscribers and buyers. Therefore, boosting your traffic should result in more revenue.

You can do the following to boost your traffic:

  • Add more traffic sources to your overall traffic strategy. For example, if you’re doing a lot of SEO (search engine optimization) and social media marketing right now, you can add other methods such as paid ads, guest blogging, or starting an affiliate program.
  • Do something every day to boost traffic. For example: post on social media, write a blog post, send an email, look for a new joint venture partner, look for a new guest blogging opportunity, etc.

Step 2 - Get More Targeted Traffic

Sometimes, you may have a lot of traffic, but that traffic is not targeted (there are not really interested in your offers). That's going to result in high bounce rates away from your website, and low conversion rates on your opt-in and sales pages. That’s why you’ll want to focus your efforts on getting high quality targeted traffic.

For example, let’s suppose you’re purchasing paid traffic on Facebook. You’ll want to test and track your ad campaigns to be sure you’ve selected the most targeted and most responsive audience using Facebook’s tool for narrowing your audience by their demographics and behaviour.

Step 3 - Optimize Your Landing Pages

Even if you’re getting a lot of high-quality traffic, it means nothing to your business if that traffic doesn't convert. That’s why you’ll want to test, track and optimize all your landing pages and sales pages to increase conversion rates.

For example, a simple tweak to a headline could potentially double your conversion rate.  That means more sales, more subscribers and more profits flowing into your business.

Step 4 - Focus on List Building

You're probably already aware of this - most people don’t purchase a product the first time they come into contact with it.


That’s why you’ll want to focus on building your list of subscribers (persons that have provided you with their email address and given you permission to send them emails), so that you can follow up with your prospects to develop relationships, provide value, and promote your offers.


For best results, segment your list so you can send out highly targeted content and offers.

Another way to do this is to implement cross-selling and upselling. For example, if you’re selling a weight-loss guide, then cross-sell a set of exercise videos and/or a low-calorie cookbook on the checkout page.

Step 7 - Develop Residual Offers

Another way to boost revenue for your business is to develop residual offers such as memberships or subscriptions (e.g., software as a service subscriptions). For example, you might set up a 12-month fixed-term membership site on how to lose 50 pounds and keep it off.
